The Best Job for 12 Year Olds
The absolute best job that a 12 year old can have is to sell baked goods. From cookies and brownies to candy and cake, you will find hundreds of people to buy your stuff. Teachers, classmates, friends, family, family of friends, team members, neighbors, tutors, and siblings' friends will ALL be interested in purchasing some sweets from you! Baked goods are PERFECT because people are willing to buy them once or more EVERY day (sweet tooths are harsh!), it's a cheap impulse purchase, and because there's immediate satisfaction. Once they realize that they love your baked goods, they will come back for more. You could sell 2 cookies for $1, meaning you only have to sell 40 to earn $20. With a package of mix only costing $1 (cheaper for homemade), that's at least $18 profit. Do it for 5 days, and that's $90 a week! WOW!
Turning Varage Sale Into an Easy Job For a Kid
Varagesale is a newer smartphone application and website that you can sell and buy stuff on. Even though you're only 12 or 13 years old, you could still use it. You do not have to submit sensitive information when signing up, but please get parental permission. It has a ratings system for users so you can see which buyers and sellers are safe. You can list items on this website for sale, mainly items that you don't use anymore. Make sure you clean everything before listing it, and let everyone know if there is ANYTHING wrong with it so that you are not lying to them (is it scratched? Holes? Chipped paint? Slightly broken but still works good?). After you list the item, people will watch it, comment on it, message you, and more. Eventually you will land sales! See the chart below for sales price ideas.

How creative are you with service or product ideas? Can you think of anything to do for $5? If so, then Fiverr is the place for you. On that site, buyers and sellers are trading products and services for a 5 dollar bill; there are of course add on options for more money, but the gist of the site is to buy or sell a product or service for $5.
Would you be willing to hold up a sign with a company's name and take a photo? Would you edit baby pictures? Would you draw a sketch of someone's pet? Would you advertise someone's blog on your facebook profile? Maybe create cute little keychain dolls? Pretend to be someone's kid on the phone for a day? Who knows what kind of crazy ideas you can come up with! All you have to do is create an account and go at it! You will need your parents to help you set up the Fiverr account and the Paypal account, as well as a bank account. They could all be put in your parent's name, then they can monitor your activity to make sure you're good to go!
